My Story

Hi, I’m Ari Mae! You may remember me - I'm one of the mill momma's that GABR took in. I’m a shy, sweet little girl. I'm a bit scared when I first meet new people and skittish in new surroundings, but once I know I can trust, I'm fine. My foster mom says I am very affectionate. I can cuddle like nobody's business. In fact, I will cuddle and kiss you as much as you want. My snuggling skills are top notch! My crate training is going well and my house training should go just as well if I am kept on a schedule. My foster mom wants you to know I will need someone who can be very patient with me as I learn to come out of my shell. I still have fears, but I have made great progress! I can be timid and cautious, and I’m working hard at adjusting to my new “freedom-filled” life. I may be a wee bit scared, but I have the sweetest spirit one could ask for. Because of my fears and insecurities, I would do best in a home with children over 15 years old. My foster mom says I will also need a calm home with another confident, playful canine to help me adjust and teach me about life in a family. Some of my favorite discoveries have been, going for walks (I have mastered walking on a leash), playing outside (physical, above-ground fence is a requirement to adopt me), the joy of toys, car rides, treats, a comfy dog bed, belly rubs, and peanut butter filled Kong. My foster mom says I’m a brave little survivor and I'm ready to find that special place to call home.
