HI! My name is Diesel and I came into the rescue last Spring as an owner surrender due to a divorce. It took a few stops for me to land in my current foster home, so I was very anxious and worried about being left alone. I also needed some medical procedures to get me back into tip top shape. My foster family has worked with me to get my anxiety under control. I take daily medication to help with that. I also have a consistent daily routine that we follow to help me not feel so worried when the humans need to leave me at home without them for a bit. For my safety, I need to be crated when left home alone. I love to take walks. It makes me feel good to start my day with a walk and then take one in the evening as well. I have learned to walk nicely on a leash, though sometimes I see a squirrel I want to meet. I am curious about everyone I come in contact with and I am always excited to meet new people.  I am a happy guy who loves to snuggle and take naps. My foster home says I am a really good boy. I have been through a lot but I have a lot of love to give.
